I don't think the first sentence is even close to true. Thremp might not have been as right as often as he believed he was, but nevertheless an extremely smart and sharp poster on a number of subjects - particularly sports betting.

As for the second bit (i.e. the reason so many people hated his posting), sure when he was wrong it made for suck. But when he was on the right side with some arrogant awful posters on the other it made for pure righteousness.

Ultimately he shouldn't have been sight banned - he should have had his user access rights limited so he was in Sports Betting and Fitness and nowhere else on the site. Anyway...

Bobbo, I saw that when I read on, my apologies.

Again though, I don't think he was quite as bad at SE as you would contend, but I'd admit it wasn't his strongest suit.

On a wider point though, I do think Admins should consider using Forum Access Rights more often than simple Site Bans. Some guys can be a raging tumor in one forum and the GOAT in another.

I have at least some idea of what I'm talking about sir.

I understand that he rubbed many people up the wrong way. I was not one of those people. You'll never get 100% support for any site banning, even Epeen and TheUntouchable had their defenders ITT. I'm in the irrelevant minority on this one obviously so I should probably drop it - and I will.
