yeota can confirm this
A girl won my fantasy league with my college buddies last year, but she actually knows her ****. She was the one that would show up to the sports bar we watched games at in college at 12:15 to make sure she got the best view of the best TV for the Giants games. She routinely got pissed about things like handing the ball to Brandon Jacobs, a refusal to blitz, and people criticizing Tom Coughlin's challenges. She also sniped Darren Sproles from me in this year's draft and when criticized by someone responded "its a 1 point ppr league idiot."

I'd hate my gf to be mad into sports. She would wanna come along and watch everything with you, total nightmare.

It's more fun than you'd think, especially if she makes an effort to learn about the sport. Great way to spend "quality time" without having to do something that sucks.

nah, its kinda weird because everyone that meets her and finds out she is interested in sports basically ends up saying something like "I never would have thought she has ever watched a whole football game."

I go back and forth on this. I think slightly more than a casual fan is ideal because otherwise its tough to explain why its necessary to watch 20 hours of football on Saturday and Sunday and then watch MNF too.

Off topic, but I recently got a portrait done of my girlfriend. Unfortunately she couldn't get time off from the boss, so he had to do it at her place of work. Think you guys will approve.

Although I did one time briefly date a chick who knew a ton about football... like actual authentic knowledge and not just lolchick memorized an ESPN page knowledge.

She later tried to run me over with her car basically unprovoked.

Similar topic, my wife has recently decided to learn how to golf. I love going out and golfing with her. If she was similarly into sports, that'd be cool too, as long as she was doing it for herself and not just to make me happy.

also golf and bowling have to be the greatest sports to play with the other gender due to the ability to handicap things pretty easily, especially golf. although i suck at bowling so no handicap is probably needed. i suck at golf too i guess. i just suck.

She's a much better athlete than me (elite ballroom dancer, rock climber and motorcycle rider, plus she beat me by 15 minutes when I was all-out in last year's Tough Mudder NorCal (was a 13 mile endurance trail run with obstacles)). So that's possible. The scoring part anyways, guessing it'll be a while before she drives it further than me (I'm about 250 off the tee, she's 160). It'd just motivate me to get better, and if she gets the time to get that good, then I'd certainly have the time to improve as well.
