I still remember when the only hipster I knew of was from the 1940s subculture. In fact, on at least one occasion years ago, I embarrassed myself by saying I kinda liked hipsters and identified with them a bit. The conversation everyone else was having was about today's hipsters.

Aeroplane Over The Sea is > anything Radiohead's ever done and it's not really close imo. As is Funeral. I feel pretty lame/like i'm being a hipster amongst hipster's but that list is a lot what I'd expect that list to consist of and I think they're missing some pretty good stuff.

Midnight Organ Fight by Frightened Rabbit is prob my all-time fav album. I suggest anyone who's into that genre of music to check it out. Kinda surprised it didn't make the list as it was hugely acclaimed by anyone who listened. Really fantastic from start to finish.

Also Silent Alarm by Bloc Party is way too low. I'm also surprised they had Chutes Too Narrow and Oh Inverted World by the Shins but not Wincing the Night away. I don't think there's that big a difference between the 3 wrt how good they are.

Glad I kept scrolling bc Bright Eyes/Decemberists were two I thought wud be awful omissions. Too low as well.
