Depends. If you're in a position where you would ever directly work with this guy, I think booze as a goodwill gesture plus a conversation piece for your next engagement would work in your favor.

If you're like several rungs below this guy where this meeting was a one-off and you're never going to work with him again, then I'd just go with a sincere thank you note.

Something like this happened in my school. Teacher was right out of University, 22 or 23, and she used to go to the highschool seniors parties. High chance someone got to tap that ass. She was simply told by the principal to stop going to the parties.

Unfortunately I was only in grade 7 at the time.

i had a science teacher in 10th grade that forced girls who were wearing revealing clothing to wear these hideous plaid dress shirts during her class. one girl took one of the shirts from her, threw it towards the front of the room and didn't come back to the class for the rest of the year
