Is there a sense of how "solved" soccer is? Like is it possible that the bulk of teams are playing with utterly sub optimal strats?

I mean soccer is not that complicated. Coaches seem to occasionally play ******o lineups but its not like there are great plays to be drawn up or whatever.

Not super familiar but things like number and length of high intensity runs, %passes complete, shots on/off target, position tracking are used. All of which all more or less useless without context of course.

what does vig mean in the ww sense? it is pretty much the only thing i haven't been able to piece together through context clues and chat logs.

short for vigorish. just like in gambling where you have to pay the bookmaker a small fee to place your bet, the vig in ww is the little piece of your sanity you give away every time you play.
