I only went once, but after hearing how ****ing good it is and waiting for about 40 minutes for food the burger was average, the fries bad, and the shake decent. I have found everything about NYC to be overrated though, including MSG (the seats are so ****ing close together and the arena is also subpar imo).

Not bad, but I don't mind Papa John's as chains go. Heineken on the other hand...I remember when I had no clue what good beer was, going to Costco and buying a case and feeling all sophisticated. A few years later I had a moment of clarity and realized it's a really, really, really ****ty beer and never had another one again.

So the difference is, if I was at a party and the only pizza they had was Papa John's, I'd eat it.

Yes, mcdonalds burgers are going to be less calories since they are way smaller in comparison. Also, yes, 5 guys does not serve the best burgers in the world. They found their niche by being in the top of the range of fast food restaurants. Chiphotle is actually a good comparison though, but coming to the conclusion that they are both awful is weird. lol @ 5 guys being no different from any burger place tho and that a restaurant burger is 'infinitely better'. If far from a food snob, but ive also ate at a lot of great and expensive restaurants in my time. wtf.jpg describes my feelings as i look at some of these posts itt, esp from people who are usually habitual truth tellers like thedean and victoar.

There is a Smashburger nearby I go to about 2X/month. I find the burgers quite good and the fries fresh and greasy.

There's this place in POR now called Little Big Burger that I think is rather good. Like the name implies they aren't very big but everything made to order and damn tasty.

ppl hating on papa johns have just never had their six cheese well done w w/e toppings they like (my pref is pep/sausage). if u like pep/saus get it on pjs six chz well done. theres a chance ill like give you $ if you come back unimpressed its so good. either that or the papa johns near you is randomly trolling.

Geoff you just described a John's Favorite precisely. Actually liked it less than rest of their pizzas, but did not try it well done.

i've never been able to put my finger on it, but papa john's must have some ingredient that no other delivery chain has. you can smell it as soon as you open the box, that isn't in other pizzas. maybe it's in the box itself.
