Over is a lock if it's a international box office and a bad bet if it's domestic box office.

To answer an earlier question, I expect Cloud Atlas to be awful. I read the script and literally could not understand what was happening. Like it actually seemed to me that the Wachwhatevers were leveling Hollywood to see how absurd of a movie they could get made. But WB spent over $100m on it, they got Tom Hanks and others, and apparently it is a real movie.

There's a chance its just way over my head or whatever, but if its over my head the target audience isn't big enough to make the studio's money back.

If this is what had to happen to get people their money, I'd be cool with it. (but with this post I've now paid more attention to any of this that I ever should).

Yeah, it's just Fill Tilt/Stars that have had all charges dropped, doesn't make any sense to sell a company still under indictment. I think even the civil charges on all the individuals still exist though.

Does that mean 'mercans will be allowed back on Stars? Or will they create some kind of Pokerstars.us like they did in France/Italy?

(assuming online poker becomes legal in the near future)

Depends what any federal law says, I doubt the DOJ has the authority to guarantee Stars/FTP access in the event of legalization or dictate what form that might take. I assume all they can do is promise not to stand in the way

DOJ says PS and FTP can be played online when online poker is legalized in the US.

Could we technically leave our $$$ on the site until then? Not planning on it, just curious

haha, i can imagine that DOJ hearing - lee jones* after having his license rejected: 'you play all the time at pokerstars - i don't comp you, when you were my guest at pokerstars, you don't play three or four times a month? look, you have a past, i have a past, but i don't know what gives you the right...'

* i am aware lee jones no longer works for pokerstars and hasn't for some time
