I just assume he took the BFE --> Gotham express bus. Probably didn't have trouble getting a ticket either.

Did somebody say big tits? Gotta go see this movie now.

Karak, did you see it at the IMAX at the Air and Space Museum? If so, do they have popcorn and stuff there?

The biggest plot hole of the movie was how Ben Roethlisberger wasn't raping everybody

Dids/tup,

How does he know like exactly when the bomb is going to go off?

I'd be willing to grant the timing part of it if the other parts didn't already send me into WTF mode.
Spoiler:
See the "BW getting back to Gotham" stuff is the type of thing I can overlook in this one.

How did he get back? He's goddamn Batman. Maybe he had a contact in that country, maybe he had a beach house there, or maybe he jogged. I don't really care because again, he's Batman, he can do **** like that.

Also the issue isn't so much that these things happen, it's that they happen with no attempt whatsoever to explain why- when all it would take would be 20 seconds of exposition. Instead we got Matthew Modine's arc, which added nothing whatsoever to the movie.
wait, wtf. matt modine was in dark knight: rises?

agree with dids. my biggest issue with the movie is bane being built for 2.5 hours as this genius uberman only to be revealed as nothing more than a sidekick all along. that was pretty weak, even if it is for the reveal of talia
I disagree, I think that was cool, because I legit didn't see it coming. Which is why I enjoyed the end.

The same people complaining about the movie's length are the ones that wanted Nolan to take more time to hand-feed them things, like how Bruce Wayne took a plane back and then ninja'd his way back into Gotham or some other mundane thing that doesn't even matter

My biggest problem is how Bane hijacks a ****ingstock exchange and executes a bunch of trades in Bruce Wayne's name, and those trades are then just allowed to occur with no further investigation into how Wayne got screwed out of all of his money

Most of the complaints I've heard (and share to a degree) is that this really should've been two movies. It wouldn't have dragged as much in spots and would've expanded much more on some of the more correctable plot holes.

agree, actually.

one thing i need to give credit to the movie: the opening scene was really, really good.

Spoiler:
This was the most implausible factor for me as well. Bane probably doesn't even have to crash the stock exchange to make trades under Bruce Wayne's name, and once he breaks in any transactions would likely either stop right away or be cancelled right after. I can see how most viewers wouldn't really think twice about it though.

I think my favorite part was the scene right after, when Batman returns and owns the cops right away.

These details of the movie honestly and truly either baffle or concern you? Or are you just screwing with us now?

You are wondering how a superhero found a way into a city he's spent his life protecting?

in the case where our hero has no resources and the city has been deliberately cut off from the outside world? Yeah, you might have to give me something rather than homeboy just rolling down an overpass at an opportune moment

I mean, he knows how to survive without resources. When he first leaves Gotham in BB, he lives as a bum/thief for a while. He's also a ninja so he probably wouldn't have trouble sneaking onto planes or whatever.

The ice scene in BB also shows how he can get across the river.

Karak,

When the movie intentionally creates obstacles for the main character and then hand waves them away, that's a problem. You're smarter than the arguments you're making.

Did I complain (seriously- you can say my name when you bitch about me, it's not like nobody could crack your code) about the length? I just said it was long enough that "not enough running time" is not much of a valid excuse. I have zero problems with long movies as long as they use the time well. To it's credit, the pace of this movie is such that I didn't feel the length at all.

And again- nobody's saying it's a bad movie. However, it's a B/B+, and the things we're talking about are what keeps it from being great.
