LOTR is 2 1 3 for me. The big battle stuff in 3 suffers from not being that different than 2 and the fact that they could have cut about 40 minutes out of that movie easily. 6 ****ing endings. (still a good movie, but not close to Two Towers).

t2 is super cheesy. the only thing it has going for it is special effects. this is why people who saw them both as children prefer 2.

How was it worse as a movie? I think most of the characters in the second one are more compelling. I can't remember a thing about Michael Diehn.

EDIT: Okay, see you posted since then. Yes, absolutely cheesier. I disagree that means worse, in this case. Cameron is the master of well executed schlock.
