to keeping spoilers out. I'm about 100 pages into the 2nd book. Gonna try and crush through it.

LDO Dumb question but those that have read the books,do you suggest just going through them til you finish the 5th book before starting the series or after finishing book 2 should I watch season 1 and 2?

and, for some reason hbo on demand goes from s1e1 s1e2 to s1e4?

they've had every ep, and for some reason 3 isn't there? hmph.

probably gonna take a break from it anyway, pretty bored with those 2 hours.

Just really confused by those who prefer season two to season one. S2 was still quite enjoyable but seemed to have a lot of slow, fairly boring stretches whereas I remember none of that with the first season.

Some of it is managing expectations...people have put this show on such a pedestal that they're just setting themselves up for future disappointment. I may have done that to a degree as well but damn S1 was good.
