The fireworks Ive always gone too usually do 20 mins then a pretty solid finale of launch everything.


This year, they did 8 minutes and apparently encountered technical difficulties so couldnt finish. Pretty ****ing woat.

the world series quake was the bay bridge series back in '89. That quake was a pretty big deal and caused a ton of damage.

That was during the NFL playoffs last year I think. Some transformer just blew. Play resumed within 30 minutes or so, maybe an hour or something.

i didn't feel it myself despite the fact that i live in the sf bay area, and roughly 45 miles from candlestick but i remember watching espn and it cut to an emergency system broadcast with berman and i spent about half an hour calling family in sf to make sure they were ok

yep, this is what i remember. Berman made everything ok that day. Like Peter Jennings during 911. God bless Chris Berman.
