I don't know who did personnel stuff in Denver during Shanny's early years, and getting a hall of fame QB helps a ton, but he did really well with the Denver zone system. If nothing else he did put a good coaching staff around him, which in football, is one of the most important things for a head coach.

I don't remember McMahon being very good, or much better than Tomczak, Fuller, or whoever else was there at the time. Not really sure his getting injured really did much harm to the Bears' chances.

i would have liked the gimmick slightly more if the loc had read "10x the man Clarkmoister is"
