I'd like to read a biography of a journeyman in D-league, AHL, or AA (?) baseball. Basically, a book about an athlete who isn't wiping his butt with hundos. Any suggestions?

Ball Four kinda fits that criteria and is one of the GOAT sports books

Recommended Odd Man Out: A Year on the Mound with a Minor League Misfit awhile ago in the MLB thread. Yale biophysics graduate and lefty pitcher Matt McCarthy gets drafted by the Angels in the very late rounds and decides to give it a go in the minors.

An great, funny, insightful look at the life of a minor leaguer with lots of cameos from current MLB players.

Minor spoiler: Author makes Bobby Jenks sound like literally the biggest white trash redneck who's ever lived.

didn't Jenks grow up in a cabin in the woods with a crazy alcoholic father who didn't want him to go to school or some such ****?

Was right next to Sheikh Maktoum several times. Hard to convey what a big deal being in Dubai makes that feel like.

Also met Bo Derek who is smoking hot at who knows what age.

I believe very strongly that anyone who wears a beanie in their everyday lives should be sent to live out their lives in a concentration camp at the peak of the Himalayas. Same applies to anyone who finds playing with a hackey sack entertaining. ****ing whole foods and their overpriced hipster bull****

Google. Car forums.

If you're so lost at cars that those still do not help you at all, I might can help.

ya ive read some forums but im pretty stumped at this point. i could make a post there, where no one knows me and has little traffic. or just see if anyone here has some expertise as the feedback is likely way quicker and more involved.

if yall, want to know, my car doesnt start. engine cranks but doesnt start. new plugs, wires, battery, vacuum hoses.

checked the fuel line and it spurts out small amounts intermittently. did the fuel filter and pump. still no help. pump gets 10.5V.

Vic, just walk into a shop as they're about to close, pull a mechanic aside (preferably an old guy with a wedding ring on, since they don't want to go home to the wife) and give him your # or get his, have him look at it after work, get a quote, ezgame.

just buy the warranty when you buy the car. everyone has their guard up and is determined to buy nothing but it is worth the 5 dollars a month to not be in victor's situation.
