Grievis is a good pick for most hated CBB player. I still don't understand how he played for Maryland for 10 years.

Two people I just absolutely hated when they played college ball, that I like now: CP3 and Duncan. Really hated Reddick too, but my Duncan hate was probably more virulent, it's just worn off by 14 years of being the best PF in the history of the NBA.

how can you guys hate Grievis? Guy was super likeable and thats coming from someone who was at Duke while he was at MD.

Greivis was probably pretty annoying for other teams.

I hated guys like Mateen Cleaves. Dude got all the notoriety while Andre Hutson and Mo Pete were Sparty's true heroes.

Paul Davis, Dane Fife, everyone on the 2004 Stanford team besides Childress.

Confirmed about Starbury. Reading that article about him on Grantland the other day, and actually had to Wikipedia him to remember that he went to Ga Tech.

The thing I didn't like about Grievis is what I joked about earlier, that he just seemed to be in college forever and was always a guy you both had to a) deal with and b) didn't want to deal with. My Duncan hate was largely based on the same thing. On a side note, it's really sad the 4 years in college seems like an eternity for a basketball player, since that's how long I was in college myself.

Heh, a teammate of mine from high school club soccer ended up playing with me in college. My senior year of eligibility (well technically it was my junior because I could redshirt for an injury my freshman year, but I wasn't staying for a fifth), he was in his freshman year of eligibility.

We started college and graduated high school the same year.

Venoy Overton for UW (recently convicted of pimping out his girlfriend!).

Can't imagine there's a Pac10/12 fanbase that doesn't hate him. (I actually loved the way he played on the court for the most part, maybe a touch dirty, but super agressive pestering D. Real shame that a bunch of idiots who hated him for bad reasons got super validated when it turned out he's a giant pile of crap).
