My wife watches New Girl. That show is really awful.

Not really sure what this means, but it seems like the opposite of what someone would say about Karak so

There's a few random terrible eps, and occasional bad beats within good ones- but when it's at it's best, New Girl can be great.

I want to take back my telling Chilltown to watch Justified. YOU DON'T DESERVE IT.

+1

people like to talk about/compare MM and BB cause they're both on AMC and well received, but i think it's a pretty good example of just how wildly different two really great shows can be.

mad men is definitely a real slow burn, but in terms of characters, writing/acting, and style, it's way up there.

Ah, it would have helped if you watched last week's Bob's Burgers. But basically I agree with your assessments.

Paul Phillips was a hell of a lot more interesting than DN and he got nuked as well (both cases somewhat correctly imo)

I don't know what caused DN's ban but Paul Phillips was awesome and IIRC Ma.son came across pretty poorly there.

wasn't there some SE legend with some mainstream notoriety who got into a spat with MM and left/banned?

let's start brainstorming format for the inevitable fast food draft.

some early ideas (just randos that have popped in my head, not sure i like any)

- free for all. draft whatever you want, be it all chicken products, burgers, or 10 different styles of fries.

- each participant is opening a ff franchise. they must have a set number of categories to fulfill (i.e. chicken, burger, side, mexican, pizza, whatever) could have there be like 3-4 sides which can be anything, even if it's not actually a side.

- think the beverage category could be interesting. could make each team select a certain number of soft drinks/specialty drinks that are actually found in ff restaurants. (coke freestyle machines obv be banned)

i dunno

My shaky recollection is that PP (while very awesome) was very much in the wrong. I can't recall specifics, but it remains notable to me only because I remember being sad that a guy I liked and was usually right about stuff was wrong. (and that a guy I wasn't wild about was right). But who knows, I was fat then.

Dan was pretty blatantly spamming after he'd been warned a few times.

I would assume you're thinking of Paul Phillips- can't think of anybody related to SE.

Unless you're thinking of when Clark got banned for being slightly unkind about Hal Lubarsky.

How many episodes did you see?

It took a while for me to really get into it. Early on, its more a style thing, its interesting and whatnot, but then the characters stories really take off. I can see people not getting into it though, but once you do (or if I guess) its really good.
