Would you rather they have dates or booze? Would you rather have 2 good friends or have to pick one and the girl he's been seeing for 6 weeks? Do you want your soon to be wife's more whorish friends to bring randos or come stag?

This seems like a debate with a line drawn between those that have been/are married, and those that haven't/aren't.

That said, I can see both sides. The guest list and type (booze/no booze, kids/no kids) of wedding can sometimes be a super tough decision.

both, but I also dont think you should have a wedding unless you can afford it.

2 good friends who can have dates if they want to. If money is an issue then have a get together with friends a few weeks before or after and do a small family wedding. I went to a wedding this summer where we were all allowed plus ones but only one of my 12 good friends brought a date while others came alone despite being in 2+ year relationships. I would rather people have the option of bringing a date if they wanted. I know that none of my friends without girlfriends even wanted to bring a date, but to not be permitted to is a different story. Allowing them to do whatever theyre comfortable with date wise makes the most sense. I have only been dating my gf for 4 months and would prefer to go to this wedding alone given I will have other obligations and she wont know anyone other than the other groomsmen. However, I would have liked to be allowed to bring her if I wished.

I dont care.

does she have hot friends that enjoy threesomes?

only possible reason I can see for wanting to marry her

Seems perfectly legit. Well, depending on a size of the wedding. If there's 25 guests it's ldo, of there's 200 it's completely lol.

Yeah I can agree with this

This is what my brother did. It was very smart. 6 hours of open bar behavior is not something small children need to witness.

meh, I'll be fine. On 95% of issues I am willing to compromise in a manner where I just go with whatever my girlfriend, friends, family, etc. want even if I want something very different. However, on the remaining 5% of issues that I feel strongly on I am pretty much inflexible and every one I have ever had any sort of relationship with has always understood and respected this.

I made the switch to chrome a few months ago and haven't looked back. I like it much better.

what an idiot. most wedding receptions i've been to, the bride and groom spend a tiny amount of time with friends since they are mostly meeting with family and doing 900 other things. weddings can also be an opportunity for friends who haven't seen one another in a long time to meet.
