I have to assume a large portion of the people that read this forum are between the ages of 22-27, or you know, being in elementary/middle school when the pokemon boom happened. And seeing that many of us had gameboys and were able to play the game, especially considering many kids played the game(15 million 1st gen sold in US with another ~8 million second generation sold and thats just the first two gen's).

Not sure why there is a surprise for a bit of nostalgia.

For those of us too old to have played the game (I'm aware of it because of comics nerdery) most of our exposure is the rather terrible cartoon. My impression of the game is that it's pretty interesting and not much different from say MTG?

Needle its not the nostalgia per se, its that Pokemon was an _extremely_ nerdy game

I knew kids who played Star Trek cards and MAGIC and thought Pokemon was nerdy

Wait I thought you played Pokemon with cards?

Pokemon was a video game for the gameboy. There was also a card game and a cartoon, neither of which I partook in. Videogame was a very basic RPG style game that included the monster catching portion that became a genre in and of itself.

We had pogs.

I'm 30. We must have been before all the Pokemon stuff because I don't actually know of one person ever playing it.

But owned like 500

What a waste of money

You were likely a little sissy boy growing up though. Being such, you had dumb opinions which apparently havent changed.

People hating on the Pokemon draft can come at me. Otherwise, shut word holes.
