I went to London for a week for new years in 2010/2011. I'll never go back, I did not enjoy myself at all.

I guess I may differ from you, I'm 25 (now) . Bars closing at 10pm was pretty lame, food was meh, and once I saw all the sites (which are just buildings ffs-much rather site see nature/green stuff personally) I had had enough.

Best part of my trip was a 2 hr bus ride to go see Stonehenge.

You just described Paris on a good day. When I went to the Louvre and saw that the Mona Lisa was the size of a sheet of printer paper, I audibly guffawed and went back to my townhome where I surfed the Internet for the next 4 days. (Which was by far much better than doing anything else in Paris when forced to go out)

How about Canada? Australia?

Basically anything that is similar to the United States is ideal.

highly recommend against unless you like massive amounts of tourists and smelly sewers flowing down the street.

I was supposed to go to Paris on my London trip, but that was the year the East coast got crushed with snow so I missed out.

Some of my friends though did get to go and they had mixed reviews, from hated it to meh it was ok. Only the girls enjoyed it.

Everyone hated London though.

Which is why I suggest Dublin. Or go to Madrid and Rome instead.

1. Paris but both are awesome

2. Rome. South of France is #2 but Marseilles is really just a big port city, definitely not worth your time ime. If you do Cannes/Nice/St. Tropez that moves it up the list even more. If you rent a car Monte Carlo is a doable drive for a night as well. But Rome is fantastic

Edit: Your list is pretty awesome now that I think about it some more. Madrid is #4 tho.

Edit 2: Clark I knew you were a mod and I was trolling bc I always laugh when ppl ask that question but I guess people still don't know

I like London and have always had a really fun time there

It's got a lot of the modern big city fun, but still has some really cool historical aspects, just obviously less than say Paris/Rome

Why obviously less than Paris? Was it the Luftwaffe?

If you come to England you should come in May and come to Cornwall.

Paris and London are both great. Southern France is only really good during the summer imo. Barcelona and Rome are both amazing, but will have a lot of tourists. Madrid has less tourist stuff but is a fun city, the people are nice and the food is good.

I could see liking it if you went with your wife, but all the other places seem like better choices. Huge LOL AMERICA at kyleb.
