I never realized I could have so much hate for someone over the internet as much as I do for a certain poster right now, but I do.

I hope your daughter (should you have one) sneaks into a bar underage gets statutory "raped", you find out, press charges even though it was consensual (even though she asks you not too), and they decide to run off together instead of him going to jail because of your bigotry. I wouldn't even blame him if he came after you for trying to ruin his life either.

LOL @ Sethy. Not sure where you're coming from here bud. If a 17 year old gets a hold of a fake ID, uses it unlawfully to get into a bar where a guy has every reason to suspect only 21+ year olds are allowed to be, I think she's waved at least some right to legal protection.

Maybe divide stach laws into 2 categories, the obvious one and then another case where the girl has made efforts to avoid detection/providing her honest age.

They are divided into at least that many. For example, in my state, there are 4 Degrees (levels) of statutory rape laws, ranging from Unclassified felony (really bad) to class A misdemeanor (max year in jail much more often a fine)

If I gave the impression that I thought the 22 year old taking a 17 yearold home from a bar is JUST as bad as the allegations which lead to this discussion, I guess that's my mistake. But there is plenty of room for "not as bad, but still not ok."

Apparently Sgt RJ either saw him using the Jeremy Lin handle "chinkballa88" for his loc (under the Jeremy Lin photo), or someone flagged it somehow. So she infracted him, I assume not knowing that the loc is from an actual Jeremy Lin profile that has gotten a lot of attention. Then Mik.e Ha.ven saw fit to randomly delete recent posts as punishment, which is very weird. Apparently didn't want people seeing the loc? Its all very odd in terms of how it was handled. He's not banned so I guess no big deal.
