When I was a kid we'd play 2 on 2 football in our friend's yard. It was me, my sister, my best friend and his little brother. Somehow we decided that family vs family was a bad idea, so it was always my friend, who was faster and stronger than I was and my sister, who was faster, stronger, better, less likely to ruin the game by crying than the little brother. I don't think we ever even lead a in a game.

Sister also player little league for a couple years. Had one start as a pitcher and unintentionally drilled the first two guys up in the nards. Dudes were bailing like crazy the rest of the inning.

The sad part of my sister's athletic career (which ended at like 12) is that she never won a game. Ever. (beyond playground stuff). Basketball, softball, baseball, anything. 100% defeated.

And I always pictured the Dids family as strapping and athletic

Nowadays I don't even think they keep score. Everyone wins and they all get trophies at the end of every game and told what special snowflakes they are. Your sister was born in the wrong era.

my senior year of college i captained a co-ed slowpitch team that, up until our last game, had lost every game

ive told the story before, so ill give a cliffs version:

i was up bottom of the last inning, tied, and we had runners on 1st and 2nd. a girl was batting behind me and if you walk a guy in front of a girl, the girl may take an automatic walk

i knew the umpire was a huge donk and the pitcher was terrible, so a walk was pretty much 100% a lock as long as i didnt swing the bat. i therefore accomplished the rare game winning feat: the walkoff double walk.

oh BOY was the other team mad.

no one except the umpire and a few others understood why i was doing that. some chick on the other team f bombed and threw all her equipment at a brick wall after the umpire explained it to her. i was loling pretty hard. was def a top 5 life moment.
