If you are super paranoid, take pictured as you disassemble it so you know where things go. I'd guess getting the case off and back on would be the hardest part of the whole repair.

yeah i got an hp laptop with fan problems man. got it hooked up to a monitor and on low power shut the cover put like little blocks under it to let air under it and use it like that for 2 years not bad just not very mobile but its pretty much my baby my best friend and with the porn my lover so what can i do.

i once had a desktop that broke a fan... cause i was too lazy to fix it and buy a new fan i just ran it open case with a desk fan blowing into it
