Dude, I used to drink at ashley's in Ann arbor all the time, no need to branch out. Equating natty with blue moon is just ******ed though. There's something in-between piss and amazing microbrews.

As ling as you paced yourself you're well under one beer per hour, which is the rate you clear the alcohol. Might get sick from the other stuff in beer though

That 1 beer/hour is more or less a myth.

We ran it with a breathalyzer a number of times and there is so much variance in can to can Alc content it is not reliable.

The % reported is based on the entire batch, not a per can basis.

It probably is close enough to not matter with Coors Light.. completely false with most micros, though.

More of a warning than anything. You can't go drink a 16 oz micro every hour and stay below .08.

Far more likely that's error in your measurement, alcohol and water mix very well together. Breathalyzers aren't very accurate either

Your body can process about .015 alcohol out of the system per hour.

There is absolutely variance in different cans within a batch. The Coors plant fully admitted that. They stated the laws clearly state per batch, which is a ton of cases.

Also, even if it works 1 drink/hour for Coors Light (it should), it absolutely will not work for most micros. It's just a dangerous myth and I've seen people end up with DUI's because of it.

edit: And while it's true breathalyzers are not real accurate, the blood tests done very regularly come in with higher BAC than BA's done. So, even if true, who cares? Was just trying to give people a heads up for potential DUI confusion.

politarding?

idk, probably for the best if we don't get into that here. not really the place for a mature discussion about it, but it looks like the article explains the point of the program (it's the health authority running a health program that i guess they think will help people).

needle exchange programs have been pretty successful in other parts of the world. I guess crack pipes don't carry the same risk of transmitting diseases, but it's really a public health issue.

re the beer, the thing about Blue Moon etc. is... if you want a beer like that, it's not that hard to find a local microbrew (or even an import) that's much better and will only cost slightly more than Blue Moon or Shock Top, and in some cases not more at all.

Yeah those people who claim the only had 5 beers over three hours but still got a DUI.... They're lying their ass off.

That's just simply wrong, man.

I was with my cousin that got one that had 4 micros over a 4.5 hour period.

He blew .09, and his blood test came in over .1.

Now, these were 16 ounces and much higher AC% than say, a Coors Light.

But this 1 drink/hour thing is not true anymore. Beers have grown, they've gotten stronger.

Anyways, I don't really care what people do or believe.. but just a heads up.
