If we're starting QB threads left and right, we're getting close to the "Drew Brees Breaking Marino's Single Season Passing Yards Record" watch.

just make sure you start it with a New Orleans Saints Superbowl Run Watch thread so we can achieve duplicity all over the map

that's good news, if schoolyard jokes are to be believed, as there will apparently be much less urine in coca-cola now

Does anyone else remember that SNL sketch from the mid-90s with Tim Meadows as the jazz musician who keeps improvising commercial lines and catchphrases over his songs

Elle MacPherson was the host, the episode is on Hulu plus (and probably Netflix Instant too)

Triumph's post reminded me of it

You are a major developer. You get the game of the choice in the era/time that you chose it so that game's impact matter. You draft Mario 64, you get it at the launch. Quality and how well it holds up still play a big difference, Mario 64 has aged well, Doom is unplayable today so keep that in mind. Systems don't matter. Assume everyone has every system. Assume everyone has a PC.

Ten picks each team. You must at least one game from every era except one. The eras are

Nes Master System arcade games like donkey long era
SNES genesis era
N64/psx/Dreamcast era.
Cube/ps2/Xbox
Current era
PC gaming is one era

Thoughts!?
In.

Video games draft needs at least 3 additional eras: pre-internet PC games; a console era for Atari/intellivision/Coleco vision; and a web-based game era (e.g. Yahoo or Facebook games).

roughly 18 out of 20 GOAT games were made for PC yet just one era for PC gaming?

Yes. Not everyone plays PC gaming and vice versa. PC games exist in their own little universe. I don't want people stocking up on either console or PC games too. Forced to take both.

I think so, I would likely replace the NES/Master System era with it. But then again, how many people here play handhelds? We're not really the market.

Pre SNES/Genesis era is too fuzzy for a lot of posters too. I'd like to keep it as close to modern as possible. Kind of like why the modern era NBA draft didn't allow pre 80's players. Wilt Chamberlain put up ridiculous stats but would they be applicable today? Probably not. Let's just take the wildcards out of the equation.
