So I ordered my wife a north face jacket for christmas. I received two identical jackets in separate boxes with separate invoices with the exact same order number. I checked my credit card statement, and despite getting two jackets I haven't even been charged yet.

So at this point, I have two identical jackets for free.

What's my play here? I figure my options are:

1) Return one correctly to be a good citizen, I'm sure megacorp Dick's sporting goods will appreciate it. Make sure I get charged.
2) Return one item where I can:
a. Get refunded? Don't think that will work since I haven't been charged
b. Get myself a north face jacket? Best play imo if the no charge holds

That attitude makes a lot of games noticeably worse.

The only reason MP is "better" is because developers don't feel the need to design competent AI for single-player when they know they can just pump out another COD or MW and let other people do the AI work for them. It's the reason why pathing on FPSs is so ****ty and why Madden and NCAA Football are such steaming piles of AIDS.

Very good post imo. I pay for XBox live and should use it for multiplayer more often but the "at my pace / on my schedule" flow of RPGs is more to my liking and quite frankly less stressful than chasing people around a map and getting killed 0.5 seconds after being respawned. I'm annoyed that I bought BF3 only to have people comment that most of the improvements came on multiplayer and the campaign was just OK. Kinda grating but if most people play multiplayer then that's where the dev money will go I guess.

agree with this too. not too many games can stand up on their single player mode alone these days which is annoying to me since I use them to get away from contact with other people, rather than the opposite.

you're comparing apples and oranges. a fps multi player game is just another category from a single person rpg. some people like one, some like the other, some like both.

i'm saying, specifically speaking about rpgs, i'd rather play a mmo than a single player
