Shade 45 talk/call-in shows provided me some of the heartiest lolz I've ever had in my car back when I had Sirius. That channel was almost worth the subscription price alone.

I rarely listen to sports on the radio, though. Unless of course they have some athlete or coach calling in, then I'll stay tuned in as long as it's worth a listen.

i stopped listening to sports talk radio a few years back. the hosts are dumb, the callers are even worse, it usually just ended up getting me really mad. just horrible, why subject myself to that?

Ya, if you're listening to it expecting to learn something you're doing it wrong. Good callers can make the shows, especially if the host has a good sense of humor.

And SE has a lot of ppl up on their high horses.

Maybe I'm just listening to the wrong sports radio then, because most of what I hear is a lot of casualfan arguments poorly articulated in between hosts babbling to fill up what would otherwise be dead air.

sports talk radio gets better the later at night it is. or rather, it gets more compelling - who are these people calling to talk about the knicks at 3 am on a wednesday in august? and why am i listening to it?

but yeah it's tough to take more than a half hour of it unless there's something really big going on.

Well...in fairness, he coulda ****ed this up hard today. Though he does tend to cover these major stories really good for sports radio...much better than what SVP was doing today.

And his interview with Kim Jones is by far one of the better ones he has had.
