What's the procedure for removing mods? Was this some sort of violation of mod rules? Why didn't the other mods overrule tuq on this? Isn't this thread supposed to be an ATF for SE?

ppl get so sensitive and whiny if the forum doesnt go just the way they want it and ppl dont interact with them as they wish, like by agreeing with everything they say. epi and bf came at me harder than anyone else including phildo, triumph, nath, tup and the rest of that brigade.

i didnt get butthurt and complain they should be banned bc they disagreed with me and made fun of lebron and other guys i rooted for. its fun to go back and forth and the place will be epically boring if we all just sat here and agreed with each other.

i agree with you to a certain extent, but it seemed to me like bitchface loved to take against the grain stances in threads, and while he may often have really believed what he was saying, a significant percent of the time he was just trolling and trying to start an argument because he thought it was funny.
i know he admitted to doing that on several occasions, and he probably did it more often than he admitted.

the tebow thread last week is a perfect example.

since bobbo was brought up before, there's an example of a guy that often disagrees with most posters and by arguing his point actually adds something to the forum, bf and epi simply derailed every discussion because it was amusing to them, it added nothing to this place.

this is such a classic misreading of the way that people actually want the forum to go. if bitchface disagreed with me and backed it up with facts, that'd be just fine. why would that make me upset? i enjoy discussion and i enjoy it with people who are willing to take the time to thoughtfully disagree. i'm disappointed that my former foil in the NHL thread has way more important things to do now.

i enjoy bitchface's posting when he's trolling hard and i agree with him - he is a very good troll. but i usually don't like it when he's trying to level everyone with a 'but wait guys i really believe this' argument. and to me a lot of posters are doing this in NFL threads, more so than usual.

epipen's NFL posting is horrendous. i know that NBA posters defend him, but i rarely read NBA threads. it's impossible to argue that he is doing anything except trolling with just about every NFL post he's ever made. so i'm glad he's gone. but bitchface will be back in less than a month under a different name, and i'll be indifferent.

Bitchface is awful and I can't wait for his inevitable perma. Trolls are bad enough, deliberately awful trolls are even worse. And as mentioned, if the debate is between whether someone is merely a horrible poster or in fact stupid the poster's loss is the forum's gain.

I think people don't always appreciate how bad the whole weird SE culture of self congratulatory we're-all-just-having-fun-here-why-you-mad-bro trolling can get. Look at the Tebow GOAT thread. It was just like the same 4 people trolling nobody (not that they weren't trolling, just that nobody was taking the bait) for like 5 pages.

People familiar with SE just lol @ those guys being those guys, but somewhat outside looking in, it's hard to get involved in a conversation where nobody's taking anything serious and just trying to out trolllevel each other.

Not really saying the mods are doing anything wrong at all (they do a great job, and a lot of what I describe is to some extent just the nature of sports talk), but the posters should realize they're all living a bit closer to the edge than they might think and to bitch way less when somebody who has made a habit of trolling gets tagged for it.
