Sick game. The sequel was sick too but by then it took up way too much memory to run on my normal computer. Few things in life more tilting than building the sickest and very safe coaster only for no one to ride it because it was too scary. That just would never happen in real life.

I doubt most scrabble or crossword enthusiasts really care whether they know the definition of a word, they are just trying to solve a puzzle. Nor should it make them more effective communicators; words in most puzzle contexts are independent of one another and don't need to function together in a sentence context.

Looks like it was released in 1999, so I was 12. Just guessed. And yeah people refusing to ride coasters if they were too scary was just ridiculous.

I also remember playing this badass game:

Which was hilarious because you had to run it through DOS or something.

Wouldn't crossword pros need to at least sort of know a words definition or its context? Sounds about right for scrabble dweebs.

You guys were probably building euthanasia coasters

Just because it doesn't fly off the tracks doesn't mean it won't kill you!

I would love an updated version of that exact game to play. Not some 3D ridic modern computer game, but just that exact game with updated coaster technology and maybe some expanded options. Maybe I should be an urban planner or something.

I didnt like rct2 or rct3 that much at all, the game was best simplified just like sim city 2000. Downloading some track packs helped.

Only tilting part was having to wait out til the end of year 3 or whatever to fulfill the objective (and using the trainer even just to do that felt like cheating to me).

Sim City 2000 was like the perfect level of detail for a game.

true, but it was impossible to build really big cities unless you had a pentium and a ton of ram.

Always like SC 3000 more because you could build the casino. I remember building some epic cities in that game.

I loved this simple game called "Coaster" that I don't even think it's possible to find anymore. The graphics were pretty simple and there wasn't any of the Sid Meier-type stuff to be found, it was just-- build a rollercoaster and then ride it. The computer had a panel of judges who would evaluate your coaster but it's not like you had to give a **** about them.

Well, I say that because I've done some abandonware searching for old favorites in the last few months and I haven't come across it yet.
