I still haven't quite figured out The National. It's all just a bit too competent and clinical for me. Like it all sounds okay, I just never get that visceral punch that I like so much.

It occurs to me that this sounds a lot like what haters say about Radiohead, and I love Radiohead, so idk.

jackets,

when and why did you make the choice to switch from That Chick In Jackets' Avatar to Baby Russell Crowe?

This mostly comes out on Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers, as well as at times live. This is a deeper cut off of that album with a bit more energy.

They have a few of these songs spliced in with the more somber tunes and usually end up with a very, very good set. I get what you're saying though. When I first started to enjoy them, I basically saw them as very good musicians playing good music. Nothing really new or exciting, you imagine they could record their albums and play them back in their sleep.

I switched to voldemortasakid.jpg just for the week of HP7.5 movie, but then a new HP werewolf game started in pog so I decided Ill keep it until that ends.

Fear not, dkavatarchickonlysomeknowthestoryof.jpg will return in time to provide an amusable contrast to my angry nfl posting.

Is there a way to make a thread with two poll questions?
Sporting Events FAQ, Liveblog, and BANGERS Quote

no. You can construct a single poll that effectively does that tho.

Pablo Honey:

Creep
Anyone Can Play Guitar
Stop Wispering

The Bends:

Planet Telex
Just
(Nice Dream)
Street Spirit (Fade Out)

OK Computer:

Paranoid Android
Airbag
Electioneering
Airbag

Kid A:

The National Anthem
Morning Bell
Idioteque
Everything in its Right Place

Amnesiac:

I Might Be Wrong
Dollars & Cents
Knives Out
Pyramid Song

Hail to the Thief:

There There
Go To Sleep
Where I End and You Begin
Myxomatosis

In Rainbows:

Reckoner
Jigsaw Falling Into Place
Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
15 Step

sorry, nothing from "King of Limbs". still haven't fully digested that album quite yet.
Late to this party, but:

King of Limbs

Lotus Flower. The single; obvious choice.
Codex. I've read some comparisons to "Pyramid Song" but to me it plays more like the piano version of "Like Spinning Plates". Even a thematic strand running between the two of them, I'd say.
Give Up the Ghost. Old-school writing, new-school arrangement.
Bloom, I find, is growing on me a lot.

Not much to add to the preceding list, other than that the In Rainbows B-sides, as usual, contained some incredible stuff. The disc box they released had a second CD with eight or so songs, concluding with this and this. Better than most bands' A-sides IMO.

the real reason is that I dont know where all that stuff is, probably in threads 3-7. backstory really isnt that interesting, r34 posted a bunch of pics including some with her hot sister, then at our request posted some more, then i went into her sisters photobucket and took a lot for myself and added her on facebook but she didnt accept. then i made the best pic an avertar and so it was. upon consideration it was probably really weird for her to just see a picture of her sister all over the forum.

Thing is though, while she gets a mite younger every year, she's cute! So don't dare think you didn't do the right thing. Return the avatar post haste sir.

He was in Reading, PA at a random stand-up club unannounced a couple weeks ago, or so I was texted and told about. My buddy said he didn't stop laughing the entire time. And also said "this ****** is definitely gay."

people saying someone is overrated or underrated, without any context as to who is doing the rating nor why the person is not properly rated, is pointless and cancerous to the forum.
