My general view of moderation -

Shouldn't be too strict, but any "personal attacks" should result in a temp-ban. I don't think fat jokes falls under that, but if someone complains and you keep doing it you're being a dick.

Moderating should be extremely lax during live game threads, stricter in season threads, and strictest in other threads.

"Trolling" - depends on what trolling is, a lot of people call a bunch of **** trolling that really isn't trolling.

If you're intentionally provoking angry responses, gtfo. If you're taking a less popular or weird position and trying to get discussion going, then whatever.

in light of recent complaints about the modding in SE, you, the user, nominate your choices for the greens here. you get 6 choices, but keep in mind that you want to have the best coverage among the various sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, soccer/footy, etc). you can choose to keep existing SE mods, or mods from other forums, if you want. and don't nominate yourself, that's just lame and boring.
