It seems like everyone has respect for Keith's opinion. Heres what he had to say:

Adding the FBG draft template might seem like an obvious negligible contribution now, but nobody else had done it, and I don't see who else would have. The scale of the exercises and the volume and thoroughness of debate they spawned is unrivaled across the entirety of 2+2 afaict, including spreading to multiple other forums, some of which have even banned Assani (or at least had for a time....I don't keep that up-to-date on these things) because they are run by morons.

To sum up his contributions as the FBG draft, biased football analysis (as if any of the rest of the self-aware lot here are above this), and a thread about Denver is silliness, and you're better than that. There is nobody on here, Bobbo excluded, who is willing to explore the depths of an argument anywhere near the level Assani will. That he is sometimes (or often, as happens when you post a lot) wrong is so completely irrelevant that I don't know what else to say. The fact that these aspects are so often seen as a negative on here is simply disappointing. Maybe the forum would be better if instead of worrying about modding meme overuse, our good veteran posters wouldn't stoke the flames with dismissive accusations of "bobbotarding" or "assanitrolling" when these guys go out of their way to post what comprises almost all of what's left of interesting, thought-provoking content in TZ these days.

His artful trolling is just icing.

His words, not mine...take them for whatever you think they're worth. I personally don't think I'm particularly "good" at evaluating basketball; I think I'm good at being humble(yes I realize the irony in saying this) and objective and constantly questioning my own perceptions.

edit: LOL, swear I wrote that before I even saw your "humble" post above. But yeah I'm definitely arrogant in that I think I'm right a lot and I think my methodology is close to being 100% optimal, but I only feel comfortable doing that because I think that I start off with a very humble approach and don't think I can tell anything from "watching the games" or I'll instantly ask why I'm wrong when trusted authorities(such as Vegas pointspreads) disagree with me. I'm sure people think I say all these things because I'm an attention whore, and tbh that may be somewhat true. But I mainly say them because I really do think others would improve their own basketball evaluations if they took a similar approach. I swear I'm sincere in saying this.

Kevin love debate was one of the best discussions in tz, even though I didn't agree with either Bobbo or assani.

agreed, i definitely enjoyed it. If someone wants to do a point-counterpoint debate on the issue, I'd be up for it. We could agree to be perfectly civil and willing to listen to each other beforehand. I'd probably use it for our site when we're done, but we could do it right on here so that everyone can read it here. First though we need to define our positions, as I constantly feel like people like Thayer misrepresent mine.

I think the best part of that thread is nozecandy getting so tilted about me calling his team soft that he drafts Kim Jong-Il and Daniel Day Lewis

Understood. You might want to change the OP then for anyone who hasn't been keeping up with the recent drama...

Yeah that's totally what happened. It wasn't me admitting I mailed the draft in and had a terrible team then started messing around. Not at all!

New rule

10. All complaining about mod actions must be confined to the FAQ. Whining about mod actions in regular threads detracts from everyone's enjoyment and isn't productive. Violation = temp ban at whatever level the poster is at.

I also deleted the Jetto Rule.

Just.Stop.

Also, you bolded the wrong part imo. The "everyone gets treated the same" isn't true for the more vague trolling/leveling/sucking bans. Well, they're treated the same if they have the same history, but different with different history.
