Biggest problem with LOL threads is that none of them will ever be able to match the standard set by threads like LOL Canada and LOL Steelers.

With all due respect, I do believe that you are significantly underestimating the creativity of some SE constituencies. If, for example, Jim Tressel were to be fired, I would imagine that a LOLhio State thread would reach epic heights, fueled by the HATE HATE HATE of people who don't really give a **** about the Steelers or LOL Canada.
