Should the NFL get a regular season thread? I know it wouldn't be used much since the in-game threads are so popular, but a lot of dumb random NFL threads have been popping up lately that frankly, aren't close to thread worthy.

Isn't that what the between week discussion threads are for? I feel like with the polarized NFL weeks you don't get that same core group that you get with threadzilla, so starting over from fresh every week makes more sense.

Basketball coaches who don't suck
Worst starting PG in the NBA

on top of having a thread for each division and four in-game threads per week...it just doesn't seem like the best way

Football just naturally attracts more casual fans who make dumber threads, if you create a football threadzilla they still are going to think that their opinions are unique and threadworthy. The best thing to do is to have fun with it and troll the really stupid ones before they get locked.

I also disagree with this. It's very rare that these crappy threads get made about MLB or NBA. They get posted in the season thread and answered within like 20 posts and its over with. Instead all these threads are going to eventually get derailed and linger around for days and days being annoying.
