Sure. Keep in mind though that the final count in the last World Cup was like 100,000 to the US. 35,000 to #2 Germany.

It was not a small number of the prolific US Soccer pösters who claimed that the USMNT was well within the top 15 in the world.

We certainly were against both Trinidad and Tobago

Not even sure what point Clarky is trying to make. The number of tickets bought doesn't tell us that much about interest/enthusiasm. The US is richer and more populous than the other countries you're comparing with. Those things are probably larger factors than a sheer passion for the game.

meh. everyone relax. people making fun of the usa not qualifying is fine, as is americans trolling by claiming the usa is the most important soccer country bc they buy the most tickets. live and let live people, it's the only way.
03-17-2018 , 07:23 PM
Live and let live would be a fine concept, if only the US of A were still alive in that tournament. Unfortunately for them, CONCACAF proved too tough a confederation to make it through and qualify for it.

It's really more like live and watch die now.

Brazil and Russia friendly on now at the LUZHNIKI. Brazil without Neymar not looking great. Gave up a sick scoring chance that Russia just choked on.
03-23-2018 , 01:23 PM
1-0 Brasil. Paulinho missed a wide open net 2m away by somehow shooting it right at the keeper on the far post.

Now he draws a penalty. Gol 2-0

3-0 on a gorgeous setup finished by a header by Paulinho.
03-23-2018 , 01:30 PM
Their defense is hot garbage despite yielding zero goals so far.
03-23-2018 , 01:38 PM
Jesus it should be like 3-3.

Yet the U.S. of A. failed to qualify through CONCACAF.

Why?

too much variance. Mexico was 3 minutes away from not making the World Cup last cycle, and we still managed to crush overrated UEFA (90mins Croatia, 87mins Netherlands).
03-23-2018 , 02:29 PM
Si Era Penal!
03-23-2018 , 02:29 PM
Overrated UEFA when we have won the last 3 WCs and had how many semi finalists? Man I am getting my UEFA banner ready already.
03-23-2018 , 02:31 PM
Let's Go UEFA!
03-23-2018 , 02:37 PM
also can't forget this:

03-23-2018 , 02:42 PM
I really wanted to point out that Raz isn't English. He *is* UEFA, though. As am I.

I concede, we did take a beating in that group. Outliers exist, however. In General UEFA GÖAT ÖAT!
03-23-2018 , 02:45 PM
That said, I'm in favour of throwing England out of UEFA for good. Once they ****ed off out of the EU, we might as well get rid of them in our confederation. Nobody cares that they invented the sport. In UEFA you have to keep up a certain standard, and England simply doesn't meet that.
03-23-2018 , 04:05 PM
If Australia can join Asia, England can join CONCACAF.

If the first few minutes of Germany vs Spain is any indication, the world should be hoping to see it at the World Cup.
03-23-2018 , 04:17 PM
If this game doesn't bring cashy and faneiro back, nothing will

Brazil’s defense is amazing under Tite but definitely looked more vulnerable today with Coutinho in Renato Augusto’s place. This could be trouble against Germany.

I like the Germany home kits for the WC and absolutely adore the Spain ones. Hope the other Adidas kits are just as good.
