Bingham taking on acute angles to middle pocket. He's on a mission.

Oh for ****'s sake. The one time I want Selby to win he probably won't.

Seriously, I reckon Selby played the most obvious push shot in history in the long frame.

They called Kryen for a push shot yesterday, not sure why they did not call Selby out.

The shot was impossible and he knew it. I watched it back a few times and you can even see the cue deflect off the white when it hits it a second time. I guess it's just something commentators just don't mention.

I've seen Mark Williams feather a red using the spider which the ref didn't spot and the commentators didn't say anything. Seemed pretty obvious to me so maybe yeah they don't mention it intentionally.

And it would be nice to see Bingham take a second title.

This 24th frame could take until tomorrow.

Bingham has gotten fatter, hasn't he? Wouldn't have needed the extension to pot that black a few years ago

Lol, and pot two reds in one to seal the frame, nice one

Yeah wiped 8 valuable points off the table lol

Yeah, the fluke double red was huge. Selby could not concede at that point, but down 69 with 51 on the table basically shut the door.

I was impressed how Bingham got that black gradually out of the way of the left pocket until he was able to pot a red there.

Selby needs to win 6 of the next 9. Def can do it, but Bingham will need to get a bit more clumsy with his safeties. 80%+ in this last session.

Anybody know how easy it is (and price) to get tickets to Crucible for this? Not this year, but maybe next year would be a nice part of a vacation.

Apparently there's still tickets available for both semis and final I've you've got a spare 90-130 quid lying around

IIRC in normal years, tickets are super hard to get? I don't have first hand experience but heard commentators talk about how they're gone the day they go on sale. Maybe that's just for the big games, but the crucible is tiny

I see, no advance sale. I would probably need to pay a premium from a scalper.

Any nice hotels in Sheffield? I'm thinking spend a weekend there, take in the World Chp, then move on to Cornwall.

IIRC they basically start selling them for the next year ~the day after the tournament ends. Again though, just what I remember hearing

Gutted for Bingham. But he played a bunch of delightful stuff, fun to watch. Just a couple mistakes too many and selby being selby.

Dont really care who wins. All I hope is that Murphy plays well, then should be a good final to follow. If he struggles, then prolly turn off the telly. But maybe he is the kinda guy who can keep such a run going and make the most out of it.

Do you guys play snooker? I like it a lot, but damn its difficult. I struggle to break 20, never broken 40 and only a couple of times had a pot to go over. Even the easiest cue ball controls are often "it went there, huh?"

lol yeah i'm horrendous at snooker but a pretty decent pool player, just can't for the life of me pot balls on a snooker table

My highest break is still 54 though only because about 7 reds were over the corners and I somehow managed to pot 6 blacks and a blue by rolling them in, my next highest break is like 8

Not really a fan of either player but will watch it anyway, Murphy winning again after his recent struggles would be a great story

Even with a movie set-up 54 is solid! Yea potting is difficult, and that i accepted long ago haha, but then the control part sometimes still feel really stupid about.

First frame already a battle

yeah lol i'm not too bad at controlling the cue ball with stuns and screws but coming off the cushions on a snooker table especially with side just nope
