Seriously, that's nonsense from Selby. If it's 9-1 to Ronnie in a first to 10 or something and he keeps smasheing it everywhere then fair enough, but Selby was ahead and Ronnie can play whatever shot he darn well pleases.

Ronnie's kind of the opposite of woods. Woods tried his hardest for years with little success while Ronnie's been giving like 50% effort and winning a ton.

On Youtube there is a video compilation of Ronnie clips put up in 2012 when he had fallen out of the top 10 and was in danger of falling out of the top 16. The video 'celebrates' Ronnie's career thinking it over. LOL.

He won 2011/12 worlds and then took this year out and won the 2012/13 worlds.

He also started working with Psychologist Steve Peters in 2011. Ronnie has averaged a worlds every 3 years since he took up with Peters. So we can expect Ronnie to win his 7th and 8th worlds by time he is 51 (he is just short of being 45).

I am a fan of Ronnie but he is a 'bad boy' and that is leaving aside the fact that his father spent 17 years in prison for murder. Guilt by association. He is super-deserving based on his snooker genius but he is nowhere near clean cut enough for the suits who compile the SPOTY shortlist.

English Open:

Murphy goes down @ -900 against Lilley in a match both tried to give away.

O'Sullivan looked unbeatable first 2 frames, gets sloppy, but closes out Day in 5.

Selby only -240 against Liang Thursday, who was at his best 3 years ago. Best of 7 but still looks like there is some value there.

Trump in quarters.

Selby wins r32, tied up with Vafaei 3-3 in r16.

O'Sullivan wins in r32, but loses 1-4 r16 to Matthew Stevens @ -525. So Selby will not get his revenge match just yet.

TV match Robertson trying to finish off Hawkins, up 3:2 but frame 6 turning tactical, so maybe Hawkins has a chance to upset.
