The 2013 FIFA Club World Cup started yesterday with the playoff match between Raja Casablanca and Auckland City FC. Casablanca beat Auckland 2-1 and will now meet CF Monterrey on 14th December in Agadir for the second Quarterfinal. Earlier that evening China's Guangzhou Evergrande FC will play against Egypt's Al Ahly SC for the honor of getting destroyed by FC Bayern München in the first Semifinal, held on 17th December. Seeded into the second Semifinal, held one day later, are Copa Libertadores winners Clube Atlético Mineiro, who overcame the odds multiple times last season during their title winning South American Campaign.

Who do you think will win?

That's what I'm saying. The original title of the thread was 2013 FIFA Club World Cup, and I fail to see a reason to change it.

The only one I could think of would be so people don't confuse it with the 2014 FIFA World Cup thread. However, that one is titiled: FIFA World Cup 2014: Kickoff June 12, 2014, so now both threads start with "FIFA".

Whatever, I guess. I'm just confused about it a bit.

Bayern plays Guanghzou today. The best player for the chinese team is the argentinean Conca who was the best player in the brazilian league a few years back and repeated the feat in China.

Atletico-MG is amazing at home and dreadful away. Their record this year:

League
H: 13W 5D 1L (tied for 2nd best)
A: 2W 7D 10L (tied for 2nd worst)

Libertadores
H: 6W 1D 0L
A: 3W 1D 3L

They have ~0% shot of beating Bayern imo but even an early exit against the home team isn't out of question.A 9.5 odds on pinny sounds tempting.

Guangzhou parking the plane pretty effectively for the first 40 minutes, even though we hit the post and the crossbar once each. Happy we're 2-0 up now. These kinds of games can get nasty if you don't score early-ish.
