Michigan is still a huge favorite to ship.

Less than one hour away from one of the biggest games in college sports history. After Michigan inevitably wins this I just want everyone to know this aint no feel good Cinderella story, this aint no David beats Goliath fairy tale. After Michigan took down the best team in the game, UCLA, this was Michigan's championship to lose. We have three pitchers who will start in the bigs some day. We have the best base runners in the game, one of the top defenses and more than solid hitting. Michigan is basically Kansas City 2015 except with better starting pitching. Once we beat UCLA we were SUPPOSED to win this tournament and in a matter of hours WE WILL win this tournament. Gentlemen sit back and watch history unfold before your very eyes. It's 1962 all over again. Michigan. Is. BACK!!!

I read an article about them recently. One guy always whistles in bursts of three. The other whistler never does. CWS warned them last week to knock it off or they would be asked to leave. Apparently the rules only prohibit devices--not human noises--so it was obviously an empty threat that the CWS retreated from.

So depressing. This university recruits well in pretty much all sports. But it's one thing to recruit great athletes, it's another to recruit enough special kind of players that are not afraid of the moment. The basketball team can't get it done in the championship game vs Louisville and Villanova, the football team can't beat Ohio state even when we we're the favorite, Michigan hockey chokes in the championship game vs Minnesota Duluth back in 2011, and now Michigan baseball becomes a great story but juuuust can't get it done when it matters most.

Of course the real problem with recruiting those type of players who can rise to that moment--players like Charles Woodson, Glen Rice, Marty Turco--is it all comes down to luck. No one can tell that **** in recruiting so you just recruit the most talent possible and pray some of them have that championship dna. Sux to run bad on that account for over two decades.

At least you've got men's gymnastics to fall back on.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Michigan-Vanderbilt was a true David vs Goliath, with Vanderbilt as the Goliath.

The Vandy Boys have somehow become the closest college baseball has to Bama football. They're the best team in the best conference. They have the same weirdly emotionless Yankee coach that everyone else wishes they had. They get the best recruits. They're a top pipeline to the pros. They lose great players & just reload. They do their best in pressure situations. Even if they're not ranked #1, people still usually expect them to win.

Still can't believe we choked vs Vandy. This is not a world I want to live in but I didn't choose to be here to begin with. Irrational hope that things will change is the only thing that keeps me going.

No fight from me this year. LSU put together the best season of all time, and 2019 Burrow is probably the best football player of all time. Unreal watching them all year, and somehow they just kept getting better and better
