Does anybody know who Matty Matheson is? The chef with the mustache and tattoos? Matt Hamilton reminds me a lot of him. Also Shuster with the textbook hit for 2.

Is it rare to see consecutive scoreless ends? Is Italy trying to take this to the last end before scoring?

No it's not rare, it is super rare to go beyond like 4 blanks, going to the last end scoreless here is like never gonna happen

Basically any time you have the hammer you are aiming to score 2 or more, if you can only score 1 then if blanking is a possibility then that is more desirable as you keep the hammer

It's an issue for me, for sure. It's why they're bringing in the 5-rock rule, with a hope of having more rocks in play and more scoring. Blank end after blank end is nonsense.

I know I could google this but how is a scoreless end possible? I come from watching mixed doubles.

There are no unhittable or preplaced rocks. Each end starts with no rocks in play so if there are no rocks in the house after the last rock, it's a blank

I just looked up Shustahhhh's age. I was way off on what I thought his age is. I don't think you guys would believe it as well if I told you.

Spoiler:
He's only 35.

Not a bad performance by Shustah, but then this Korean team doesn't exactly look like world-beaters

Probably 8 out of the top 10 in every category. Women maybe a little lower but the qualification for Canadian teams is much tougher than the Olympics or Worlds are.

So for Canadian curling, is it similar to like NHL Canadian hockey players where even the B-teams, and maybe the C-teams, can actually contend for gold in this competition?

And the d,e, and f and not only compete but would be favorites. Especially in the mens, really only Sweden that are on the same level right now.

G-Z would still be favourite to medal and while maybe underdogs still would have a good chance of winning. It is a high variance sport to a degree, only the very best teams (A-D) are able to consistently win vs lesser teams while at a slightly lower skill level upsets are very frequent.

Is the curling running and I'm missing it? Nbcsn shows "men's curling" but they're interviewing some chef from the village
