I know that, just figured it would make it onto the American broadcasts at some reasonable time.

According to my schedule, SHUSTAHHHHHHHH begins at 4pm Pacific tomorrow (17 hours 10 minutes from now), against South Korea. Canada simultaneously plays against Italy. Women's curling starts 5 hours later with US vs Japan (Canada doesn't play), then the Canadian men play again at 3am Pacific against Great Britain.

Canada should have done damage control in that 6th end, if Switzerland executed better they could have put up a 4 or 5 spot to get right back in it, but they just weren't good enough.

So I missed this live. Is there not a single damn spot on TV showing this as a replay at a decent time today? I've checked NBC, NBC sports and Cbc and none of them are showing this game today except for at 3 am (forgot to record it.)

On CBC's website (probably have to be in Canada or use a proxy) you can view any event in its entirety at any time before the end of the Olympics

Could Canada field multiple medal winning teams if they were allowed?

definitely. canadian championships are usually more competitive than worlds/olympics. The mixed doubles qualifiers had a team that went undefeated in the round robin, only to lose to Morris/Lawes. Brad Gushue's team (can't remember who his partner was) also likely would have done just as well as Morris and Lawes.

Edin is usually one of the top 10 teams on the circuit and a few years back was actually ranked right near the top. Ullsrud is pretty competitive too, but the rest of the teams at the top are all Canadian.
The Canadian championships are not the best curling either as there are a bunch of teams from provinces that aren't as good. The Olympic qualifiers are the best, usually there's 1 Newfoundland team (Gushue) and the rest are all teams from Manitoba, Alberta, and Ontario.

Koe's team (the Canadian men's team) is probably one of the ugliest teams in any sport. oh well whatever gets gold

also Homan (Canadian women's team) is gonna slaughter this field so damn hard

Rules refresher - with men's it looks like there's no pre-placed stones, and what are the rules about when you can start taking out rocks? (commentator implied it was different based on whether it was in/out of the house)

Any other changes?

correct no pre placed stones

you can start hitting after the 4th rock if the rock is in between the hog line and house (if the rock is in the house it is fair game to hit whenever). also you technically can hit these rocks just not out of play. they also are extending it to a 5 rock rule starting the upcoming season
