I guess for a serious discussion point, what's the feeling on having him pitch every 7 days? I think I'd want to get him more starts early in the season, and stretch out his starts later if he starts to tire.

don't get why everyone is babying this guy. nl pitchers get ABs, so he gets a few more per week, whats the big deal. He's not even batting on days he pitches (kinda hope the angels try this - wouldn't it mean having a fielding player not hit?)

In Major League Baseball, the designated hitter is a hitter who does not play a position, but instead fills in the batting order for the pitcher. The DH may only be used for the pitcher (and not any other position player), as stated in Rule 5.11. Use of the DH is optional, but must be determined prior to the start of the game. If a team does not begin a game with a DH, the pitcher (or a pinch-hitter) must bat for the entire game.

Trout and Otani... Angels arguably got the two most exciting baseball players of my life time (36 years), definitely 2 of the top 10 anyway.
