there's obviously some subpar scenes, it's not like it's an all time great show, but in general yeah, good dialogue.

BLL was a mediocre soap opera with a couple good actors in it

the non-Reese/Kidman girl got destroyed in a couple scenes with them, sad!

Watched the first episode of Mr. Show. I've seen a few sketches on the YouTubes and generally liked them but that episode was very strange.

Mr Show is weird ****. I feel like you need to watch the whole thing plus kinda get their weird brand of humour to 'get it'. But there are some skits where I just go bananas.

I enjoyed it immensely, though it sucks how they kind of mailed in the HUGE battles. Like the battle between Caesar and Pompey's forces, they're about to do this huge decisive battle, flip to a few blurry cutscenes, now we're back in Caesar's tent and the battle is over. WHAT HAPPENED? Probably a lot but we will never know what all. When you compare those to (for example) Game of Thrones battle scenes the comparison isn't even close. Also it was just too short.

But it was well-written and well-acted and had some truly memorable characters, so it's definitely worth a watch. It's a shame it didn't run longer. There are several GoT actors who pop up here and there. The guy who played Brutus also plays Edmure Tully in GoT for example.

Those guys are phenomenal imo. The way they tied all of the sketches together was fantastic. They did a reboot on Netflix a while back that's pretty good as well.

Yes the fighting scenes suck which is unfortunate but whatever, GoT has spoiled us

Acting really is superb all around. I'm actually really impressed by how well their story seems to track irl. I'm sure there's some Roman Empire masterman on here who will laugh at that but based on my random wiki'ing they did a decent job, at least relative to similarly tv shows

Finally got around to watching the s3 premier of Better Call Saul. While I like a lot about that show, this episode really used a ton of slow, detail oriented scenes that turned a 22 minute plot line into a 45 minute episode. Multiple time lapses, minutes staring at Kim's screen, all of Mike's scenes, etc.

for some reason all this mr. show talk reminds me i need to revisit the kids in the hall.

It's a couple of years old but last time I looked the new eps were still on Netflix. I think all of the original cast were in on it.

The reboot was actually better than I thought. For some reason I had very low expectations, maybe just that it had been a long time. I used to have a book that I think Odenkirk's wife did about the show and the making of it. It was actually fascinating, I remember some story about looking at porn and how they came up with "Taint."
