The obvious pro move is to have a character who is an obvious psychopath from the first episode, pretend as though the series is an OMG CHARACTER STUDY of said psychopath (which of course assumes that such a character study would even be interesting in the first place), have the character undergo several false epiphanies, complain in the media that your viewers do not hold your protagonist in sufficient contempt, have a hilariously transparent audience surrogate explain that the psychopath is indeed a psychopath in case anyone happened to overlook that fact, then refuse to show your character actually reaping what he has sown for six seasons because you're a hypocrite who wants it both ways.
