Your king-of-the-internet bull**** is giving me a headache and I don't much care to talk to you if you're just going to harass me.

In the past, people willing to name their kid Khaleesi just never got laid. Rejoice Christians, the rise of the female nerd will prove Darwin wrong

And for non-fiction I always get real books because I marker/scribble and do all kinds of nasty things to them

Also the reading haters can go watch the 2p2-TV show imo

I'm happy to talk TV with anyone who wants to talk it intelligently; the conversation there is a cesspool because intelligent talk drowns in the morass of ignorant, pedantic criticisms.

The AV Club comments section is still hands-down the best place to discuss TV on the Internet.
i used to read the comments there but now it's just a slightly better ootv imo. i think it got too popular.

Unforgiven is top-10 film for me; I know this will be a huge surprise to ppl who get sick of how I post in paragraphs but I wrote like a 115-page paper on it in college. "I was building a house!"
you should watch frailty if you're looking to check out lesser known mcconaughey films.

unforgiven goat western.

I'm not trolling books. I got no beef with books. I appreciate their existence and I absolutely appreciate the skill it takes to write a good one. Reading one on the other hand is gonna be a big waste of time when there's an all-time great TV show telling the same story.

Yeah I've been trolling books so hard it's got people rustled and thinking I'm serious. Definitely a book reader leek. I don't even really remember what I've said about the topic itt.

A book and a movie are not similar things. May as well discuss the merits of texting versus selfies.

You know your headache here is self induced right?

When you say garbage like "perception on a topic like who likes a TV show changes based on information you see on this site" then you walk around with a bullseye cause you are dead wrong.

When you say you "don't take the opinions of anyone does that doesn't like TD or Rick And Morty seriously" while admitting to not watching Hannibal when the master of all forms of entertainment tells otherwise then you boom.

There's a problem and it is my duty as king of the Internet to correct it. Casualties are unfortunate but expected.

You should be scared with how accurate this post is with and without the obvious trolls.

Get it together man.

The reason I can't watch Rick and Morty might be the same reason why the guy who read comics books doesn't like it; it's ugly.

The animation sucks. There's a lack of fluidity to it like most cheaply made shows like South Park. It looks wrong to me. When you know what looks right from comics and even comic shows like the Justice League, you can't deal with subpar animation.

Is having a problem the the visuals of a show a valid reason to not watch it?

YES

lol @ that

GoT is lowbrow hack fantasy for dumb people to feel smarter/better about themselves after reading it as is 100% of actual culture-relevant popular fiction

Dostoyevski dude is not

Scandal is unwatchable from a pure aesthetics perspective.

I tried, it's horrifically shot.

"Waste of time" is an interesting way to phrase it. You can power through books a lot quicker than through TV shows (while getting more raw content). The higher your opportunity cost the more valuable books become compared to TV shows imo

GOT is a TV remake of books. It's basically the same content but a different medium so I'd say it's similar in this case.

Imo most fantasy is not exactly worldmoving literature. It's generally the developed world and details that fascinate readers especially for GoT which is "political" in nature (scifi counterpart would be Dune). I'd suspect you get a lot more of that when reading the book (because more space can be used for that).
