The idea that it his life has no value and should have just killed himself is pretty derp
Ignoring all the devastation caused directly or indirectly by jesse, the only 2 women he ever loved (that we know of anyway) were killed next to him, once while he slept and once in plain sight of him, and in both instances because of him. Considering he was full blown suicidal before he got Andrea killed, and was apparently calling every week to check up on her and brock, I don't think it's derp at all to think he's at a point where he feels he has nothing left knowing he essentially killed Andrea and now Brock (the closest thing jesse had to a son) will grow up without a parent
The idea that Jesse would somehow develop inner peace and live a happy life in light of what just happened runs pretty counter to just about everything we've seen from him in this show
