Walt kept the only evidence linking him to Heisenberg. Anything's possible

But even assuming they didn't, Marie could still put the DEA on him since she knows he was associated with hank and gomez and they won't find his body when they dig up hank and gomez

Jesse can't go to the vacuum cleaner, has no money, has no chance of hiding from legal pursuit, and has no leverage on anyone meaningful to make a deal

And that all ignores his eventually shattered mental state once the elation of escaping wears off
that's my feel as well. but the key point was the marginalization jesse faced this season.

his one ally is probably Marie, to be honest.

Maybe I'm an optimist but I'd guess Jesse might be able to accept and appreciate his life to some small degree after living through the whole chained labor slave experience. Shrug.

The idea that it his life has no value and should have just killed himself is pretty derp

Recency bias just a lame argument people use. It's not like this happens every year there are like 3-4 shows that have gotten talked about at that level and breaking bad is obviously one of them.

It's fine if you think the wire is way better. But people are going to be saying the same stuff about BB in 5 years like they still do about the wire now, sopranos, etc.
All fair points. I caught up with BB when it was season 3 so I'm not sure how popular it was back in early seasons.

@gbebe
Yeah Mike was another I considered mentioning. Saul was alright. Hanks death was amazing stuff, but I was on #teamWalt in 5b.

Edit: this is all with respect to characters, not acting. Acting was excellent by all.

Finally, Jesse's interest in MILFs pays off.

Ignoring all the devastation caused directly or indirectly by jesse, the only 2 women he ever loved (that we know of anyway) were killed next to him, once while he slept and once in plain sight of him, and in both instances because of him. Considering he was full blown suicidal before he got Andrea killed, and was apparently calling every week to check up on her and brock, I don't think it's derp at all to think he's at a point where he feels he has nothing left knowing he essentially killed Andrea and now Brock (the closest thing jesse had to a son) will grow up without a parent

The idea that Jesse would somehow develop inner peace and live a happy life in light of what just happened runs pretty counter to just about everything we've seen from him in this show

In late but probably number 1 for me. Don't think I've enjoyed any other show as much as bb.

Not sure how to rank seasons. Prob 5b as #1 even though my only ever bb complaint was from this season. However, they nailed pretty much everything else this season.

i def don't think he should kill himself and never thought once that was even a consideration when he took the gun. I was surprised when i read people thinking he might. wat.

i'm probably less optimistic than you regarding jesse given what we know (constantly falling back on drugs), but I also think he can have a decent outcome in the long term. But his immediate future is gonna be rough and he probably ends up doing some time. Maybe best case is witness protection if he can provide enough dirt on the nazis/lydia/etc and Marie can back up a lot of his story. He can also clear Walt in the killing of Hank and Gomez, which could maybe cause some problems for Skylar since it jives with Walt's last phone call.

Dunno. It isn't really important.

Jesse is obviously going to be all sorts of ****ed up but srm seems to be missing the entire point of him being spared at the end. I just don't get making assumptions that he'll end up in jail or he should be wishing he was dead

another thing to keep in mind is cops are pretty damn good at their jobs. they'll uncover a ton of stuff investigating the massacre. Like a pit with a bed mat in it. and cuffs and chains. possibly video evidence. Possibly the photo of andrea, which is currently an open murder case.

I really think Jesse ends up talking to the DEA or ABQ-PD within a day or two.

Yeah, I think this is exactly it. For a long time, especially after killing Gale, Jesse had felt that he deserved some retribution or punishment to atone for what he had done. Well, he certainly has suffered enough, and now he can finally cut all ties with the life he's led the past two years. He's free.

The only evidence against Jesse is that Marie can say he was helping hank bring Walt down. Which, besides the money, was the only real evidence against Walt at that point. Not really much of a case.

They caught him throwing away money and couldn't really do anything to him. What case is against Jesse?

He's gonna bolt anyway. Need for Speed and all.

Yeah, you gotta assume the Nazis destroyed the DVD with Jesse's confession so Jesse should be in the clear

god i watched the after show (talking bad?) for the first time, and the host was calling rj mitte "flynn." my head damn near asploded. then as mitte starts to talk about his character, he refers to him as walt jr and not flynn, like he ended up doing in the show.

i love rj mitte. i could watch him butter bread or work the cash register all day long. and nobody tells him jack **** around here.

There was a clearly labelled file folder called "Jesse's incriminating evidence" in the nazi hideout that got destroyed by the machine gun fire. Don't know how anyone missed this.

The Walking Dead averaged 10.75m viewers over 16 eps last season (or 11.42m?)

not even sure if i know anyone who watches that show

wonder if that show has room for even more growth in the ratings department

It's like Victorian England, when one person in ten read Dickens.
