I don't know why so many people didn't like this Got. I'm only like 15 minutes in and so far it's hilarious for pretty much all the wrong reasons. I mean the Mountain just ripped a guy's head off like he was opening a candy wrapper.

I look forward to a few years from now when it reaches level 3, where the audience is led to specifically believe characters are faking their own death, but the reveal shows that they actually died during the death faking scheme.

hound also got that #passion for the fight. uncertain if mountain can match that intensity but theres enough sheer power that it might not even matter. red viper also had that passion and we all know how that turned out (even if he did have mountain beat at one point)

Ya I thought it was great. Didn't even mind the arya stuff. Guess i had just lowered my expectations enough. I mean, it was pretty obv what was gonna happen. Lady crane had to die BC the faceless assassins gotta provide a life to the faceless god. And ofc there was gonna be waif arya showdown and they can't kill off arya.

What I didn't understand was why the slavers attacked. I mean tyrions just gave them a much more favorable situation. I guess the attack had been in the works for a long time so they just followed through with it. I guess years/theon are gonna save the day.

Also can't imagine blackfish is dead. He proly organized a way to lead his trusted ppl to sansa and snow

Well I was kind of kidding and I've only seen about half of it, but I don't seem to hate it so far like most. I like Jaime and Brienne scenes, IMO Jaime could be the most interesting character in the show. I laughed when he said something like, "In my experience, girls like her (Sansa) don't live very long" because I'm a lowlife. And Cersei has been pretty good. Tommen has to go though.

Could totally see another fake death coming with Blackfish because why not?

I too am enjoying this season more than most but I'm also not a bookreader and just accept the show for what it is at this point. I genuinely like most of the characters and the scenery and the "world" and the individual towns so just enjoy 55 minutes regardless of what happens. Obv too much stuff without anything really happening sucks but I would watch the show every week regardless.

Which brings me to a question. I know HBO has cut the budget (right?) so does that mean the show isn't doing as well as it once did and they want to wrap it up (like they are)? Or do they just assume people will watch regardless because they're plot committed so why spend as much money on it? If it's the latter why wrap it up so quickly. With so many storylines and characters and "worlds" and different places this show seems like it could run forever if they wanted.

Budget increased for Season 6 and I'd posit that we haven't REALLY seen the upside of that budget yet.

Think next episode is likely to feature RAMSAY finally getting got in the Winterfell battle, AND the dragons going HAM on the BOATS.
