For people that find the League or It's Always Sunny funny, I can't recommend Archer enough.

I had to put the Shield on straight after to remove that bad feeling about BB. Halfway through season 5 and The Shield has now overtaken BB in my TV Show Power Rankings.
The Shield actually takes a leap to another level for the rest of its run. You won't be disappointed.

I tell people that there's a point somewhere in season 2-- usually around the middle, but which episode varies by person-- where the show flips from "I'm curious where this is going" to "I can't wait to see what happens next."

I was very annoyed by the end of the ep. The whole unbelievable "fire hundreds of rounds of ammo that would cut through a vehicle without the slightest problem and somehow completely miss both targets from close range" was a totally unnecessary suspension of disbelief that accomplished nothing. They should have just simply ended the ep at the standoff and started firing next week.

To this post and the ones which quote it, I'm not clear on how they tracked him but this is what I assumed at the time. It doesn't matter all that much though so long we agree it was feasible one way or the other.

these reviews of season 1 are good to know because the first 2 episodes left me wondering if I wanted to continue and the next 2 were better, but still not good enough to invest enough time to catch up (especially during football season) or understand why it is so loved.

I thought it was very clear that they tracked him through the phone signal and that's why Jesse kept him on the phone the entire time. Also why Walt removed the battery from his phone as soon as he figured it out.

wait people are arguing that they tracked him to that spot by something other than using the sim card/singal

It's pretty irrelevant how they tracked him. The point is that they easily could have and the bigger points are lolwalt and lolbb.

Makes sense, thanks.

I'm not arguing anything, just didn't really think through how they followed him. This sums it up well:

I've seen about 5 episodes of The League. One was pretty funny, the rest were incredibly obnoxious and made me want to beat every character with a tire iron.

Lol, I watched 10 or so episodes. It's kind of the same jokes over and over so I stopped watching but I thought it was decent at what it was doing. Just not all that interesting.

My brother and his wife think The League is the GOAT show. Not even kidding.

I enjoyed some of the episodes but that's about it.

I'm sure people will call me a nit or something because OMG BB GOAT or w.e but it's a serious flaw. 12 year old pot dealers know not to talk on the phone but Walt has no problem leaving incriminating voicemails and openly confessing to murders. yeahok.gif

it's just hard for me to enjoy the plots of this show that can't get there with out ******ed contrivances. This was one of those.
I agree and the shootout was also meh. Rednecks are not that bad at shooting at stuff with automatic weapons. Not very cinematic but everybody on the law side would have been dead pretty quickly in a realistic shootout there.

To be honest the part that I disliked the most was Hank's phone call to Marie, the whole little speech ending with I love you, pretty ****ing obvious they were setting up for todd's uncle to arrive.
Also true. I was kind of hoping he'd end the call, look at Walter and his head gets blown off or something. I think that would have at least made the phone call relevant.

I've felt BB crossed into the unbelievable long ago tho.
Strangest thing about that show is the complete lack of bikers. Pretty sure they control the biggest chunk of the meth trade in that area (and not Mexican crews).

That didn't work out so well for them.

got through S2E1 of breaking bad last night. show definitely improved over these 4 episodes vs. the first 4. it could do without any screen time for walt's wife and sister-in-law though. truly annoying characters that try to ruin the show at every turn.
