chatter itt has died down, so it's time for my mid-week musing from e2 that literally no one cares about!:


- Brienne paranoid that Jaime was ****ing with her? haven't they been on good terms since his hand got cut off in s3? have they had a bad moment since really? truly bizarre writing
- Dany v Sansa: i don't get why this is supposed to be so hard, Jon King w/ Dany Queen in KL, Sansa is wardeness of the north, no one will bother you ... if you're gonna be mad at anyone, be mad at Jon for bending the knee? but don't be mad at anyone, bc the alternative is being turned into a zombie with a bit of extra food laying around gjge (woat writing)
- they quickly dispensed with a lot of the other stupid pointless drama from e1 ... so why waste time on it in the first place? why does this show employ writers? no one knows
- Theon showing up with his guys, ok i guess that's enough ppl to stall the Night King for long enough so that Bran can do whatever he has to do, or else Bran would have objected, otherwise wat
- Jon being insanely weird re: not talking to Dany (aka horrible writing)
- ya the Grey Worm & Missy stuff was so ham-fisted & weird that he's probably a goner, rip gw
- Jaqen's s2 theme or whatver playing when Arya went to bang Gendry? i assume this doesn't mean literally anything, it's just s8 being totally random
- Arya picking Gendry when Pod the Rod was right there the whole time? shame!
- did they imply that Sansa is into Theon during that montage while Pod was singing? probably not (prob just locking him in as dead next ep), but it is weird that Sansa hasn't had a consensual partner in like the entire series pretty much ... which reminds me that this arc with her cockblocking Jon w/ Dany is dumb as all hell, because i'm pretty sure they aren't intending to go *there* at all
- probably more stuff i forgot but this is already too long and no one cares

yeah brienne has never once been mistrustful or anything, her biggest failing is probably her valor (which is also her greatest strength). sloppy writing that added tension in a spot that shouldnt have had any.

yeah, they didnt really explain sansa being so prickly. it seems so easy to negotiate that - "lol you can be warden here, im king down there, we wont bother each other, cool, peace"

im shocked they have theon guarding him but its supposed to be a complete redemption arc or something.

jon giving the cold shoulder to dany was.. MAYBE.. him feeling weird about incest. i mean this isnt pornhub, not everyone is a step aunt

never liked greyworm so i dont care that much, but i thought it was more the show trying to do SOMETHING to show casual racism or w/e, with missendei being rejected for being black. or a former slave. or just an outsider. who knows, that little girl was acting like a brat

i THINK they implied something about sansa and theon, but that would make no sense, other than maybe them being bro/sis now

yeah he was obv upset about it, but the way it was portrayed, he was like ANGRY with Dany, and she was very understandably confused

i got excited for a second when i heard it bc there are some interesting Jaqen theories out there, but seems like it's just random nonsense in this case

aside from the auntcest, I thought a lot of jon's change towards dany came from internally re-evaluating her after learning she executed sam's father and brother via dragon

Brienne's hesitation made sense. She's constantly has been made fun of for being a lady fighter, and has been multiple times been punk'd. Probably by people she thought she trusted too. Her character has always had trouble in social situations too.

(aside from the Tarlys apparently being Targ loyalists in lore, and backstabbing that Tyrells to align with the Lannisters for 5 minutes and then refusing to bend the knee after being defeated)

not only did they write that line for whatever reason, they didn't make him clarify that she's not of/from this country, they just, left it in there, and doubled-down that "she has no ties to this country" ... are we to believe he's going all historian on us now all of a sudden and referring to before the Targs came over in the 1st place? just brutal

(lolol just re-watched that scene for the 1st time in a while and forgot that Randall blocks Tyrion from saving his life by sending him to the wall, and the idiot brother just runs out of the crowd and demands to die as well, my god, seriously **** this storyline to all hell)

GoT writers: let's build the conclusion of the series on this "great tragedy"

and since they didn't bother trying to establish any relationship with the brother i'm not giving them that either as a reason why Mad Queen Dany isn't fit to rule, earn it on screen or gtfo, GoT

and Jon shouldn't really care either

No one has mentioned that Sam casually explained that death is forgetting/being forgotten and that’s the Knight Kings goal or whatever. Cool.
