Canadians do have probably the biggest inferiority complex of any nation's people on Earth and this thread is deserved. (Although when Canada beats the US in basketball at the 2020 Olympics for gold I will make a lol USA thread)
I am reminded of some Swedish article about the top 50 nations with the sexiest people. Canada wasn't on it because, it was the only nation to call up and ask why they weren't listed and insecurity isn't sexy.
This is possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read ITF and I have been here for 8 years.
This thread was obv created for fun and for me the most fun aspect of it, is that mods deleted a LOL USA thread which was created in response to this one. I don't think I've ever posted ITT before today but it has been certainly been amusing.
Not that the subject of Canada vs. US comes up often, but when it does, my experience is that not one single Canadian feels "inferior", infact the opposite is true, the most cited reason Canada is a better place to live is universal health care. Any serious discussion of which country is "better" is stupid. Canada and the US despite many differences are infact about as similar as any two countries are in this wonderful world of ours. But if you really do have an inferiority complex, you can always try moving to the USA, it's not that hard a transition and then maybe you can get back to us and see if you really do like it better.
For me personally, USA is a great neighbour, and though there are tons of US citizens who don't seem to know or care about anything that goes on outside their borders and believe the news they watch on TV is objevtive, there are many awesome people as well. For me, the US is a paradox, it is so awesome in so many ways, but unfortunately, is has been going downhill for so long that it is hard to remember how awesome it once it was. I am so happy to be Canadian though, and I would bet anything that a HUGE majority of Canadians feel the same way.
Enough politarding, I'll let y'all get back to LOL'ing. It's not every day the US gets to win against Canada, even if it is a meaningless Junior game.
