Pro-Trump conservatism is a crowded field, though, and being "The Good Conservative" as tokenism if Trump continues to be as unpopular as he is could be a big fish in a small pond.

The National Review actually is making more sense these days too.

I view this as encouraging. While I don't agree with all the takes if a McMullen or certainly the Nationals Review, people with honest principles exist. Dialogue can still be had.

Beck went full anti-Trump relatively early, and stayed steadfast the entire way. He and his media company have reportedly lost $ and traffic due to this. He seems like a true believer, and stuck to his principles that Trump goes against those beliefs. He has somewhat apologized for some of his past comments and behavior as well.

the evan mcmullin guy seems like a decent guy

literally every national review writer seems like a complete hack while like 2 of them write an introspective or contrarian article once every couple months. would like to know who is supposedly reasonable. i have given up on pretending people like ross douthat or rod dreher or any of those types of clowns have any sort of intellectual honesty
