Just my opinion, but it seems like most were embarrassed to admit they were pro-Trump, pre-d-day, on a public forum. No?
right. I think this was a big reason why the polls were off. ppl lied about intending to vote for trump for whatever reason.

Also want to add, I used to have respect for Guiliani when he was mayor of NYC during 9/11, but damn he is a massive prick. Why is he still talking about Hillary? Just let it go, she lost the election, just let it go.

Being Australian and averse to watching yootoobz, I have a weird perspective on things where I rarely see footage from cable networks etc and instead read takes on them on here. I saw an interview with Giuliani on election night and it's the first time I've seen footage of him in months. Dude legit looked like he had dementia.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinio...wers/93593088/

Quote:
As Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz or John Kasich voters enthusiastically shared their reasons for supporting their candidate, a family member or friend would often stand by quietly.

When pressed, if they came clean, it was often with downcast eyes or an apologetic smile: “I’m voting for Trump,” they’d almost whisper.

A few months ago, an Uber driver told me he was voting third party, then tepidly announced he was voting Trump as I exited the car. Why didn’t he just tell me this in the first place, I asked. “Because I thought you would judge me,” he said.

Here we can see why Donald Trump’s constant inveighing against political correctness was so ingenious. It forged an unlikely but unshakable bond between a Manhattan billionaire who had manifestly lived a life of “New York values” with conservative white Americans who feel under constant assault by a cultural elite that treats them with contempt.

Yeah no need to kick people while they are down. I'm getting enough entertainment from the losers crawling out of their moms basements and protesting/making fools of themselves.

I don't know about you guys, but I will continue to have contempt for dumb racists, and will continue to express it openly. The idea that sensible people brought this on by not treating bigoted idiots with respect is ****ing heinous. No, it is not our fault terrible people voted for a scumbag.

So many cringeworthy pre-election interviews. Shocked they kept trotting him out there to get raked over the coals.

one list had this guy: http://www.politico.com/magazine/sto...essions-213992 in charge of domestic policy.

for immigrants, muslims, and people of colour this is going to be truly terrifying. it's the one place where trump will have true believers in place instead of just grifters and frauds.

Eh, I mocked Sando taking so much action plenty as well. I still think his rationale for supporting Trumo politically is terrible, but gotta say, he was certainly right. I hope you change your mind about Trump within the next 4 years but until then enjoy the $$$.

this is the same argument happening over and over 100 times in the politard thread between the same like 5 people

the loud name-calling hate everyone who disagrees with you side of the left didnt cause people to vote for trump (in general, obviously there are anecdotes for everything). it turned off other democrats/independents who would have voted with you and possibly lost the election.

yet somehow this proposed explanation for the democrats losing a ton of votes is always answered sarcastically with "yeah if we werent mean to racists they would have voted for hillary"

So the people in Flint, MI whose kids were drinking poisonous water and nobody came to help them, they voted Trump because they are racist?

The real takeaway is the same as the old one: people will vote what they perceive will benefit them economically. The bar for tolerating everything else and getting conned anyway in the process certainly is now way higher than I thought possible.

Using Trump's German surname is kind of racist, just so you know. You are implying that using his German surname is an insult or something.

You barely survived? What does that even mean?

I'm sorry if your life path has taken you to a point where you're apparently so dependent on external forces that you have to literally worry about your life. I couldnt live that way personally. That is something I truly cannot understand. I don't think any of you really need to fear that either. You're all mostly pretty smart and qualified to do things. I do not believe there is anything that can happen that can stop me from having a good life. Like not even a 1% chance of something. I'd guess being a terror attack victim is the only thing that could. But as people seem to tell me here that's super insanely unlikely so it's all good.

To be sick to your stomach because he tweeted that protestors are unfair or w.e it still just completely insane, irrational, paranoid behavior and you should probably just cut yourself off from the news if it can have that much of an effect on you.

You're likely part of a demographic that has very little to worry about. There are probably other demographics that have legitimate worries.

Trump wants to implement a 2 year mandatory minimum federal prison sentence for anyone who is caught in the US that has been previously been deported.

Can't imagine allowing myself to be so poor and Mexican that I could let such and external factor affect my life.
